The University of Iowa Hawkeyes men’s baseball team was founded in 1890 and is a Division 1 member of the Big Ten Conference. Led by Coach Rick Heller, the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s baseball team has grown into a perennial Big Ten Conference and NCAA championship contender. In fact, the team recently won the Big Ten Conference championship in 2017. 

To promote and improve player safety, performance, and comfort, Coach Heller ordered the installation of 50-plus feet of Dragon Seats™ heated sports benches in their home dugout at Duane Banks Field in January of 2020. The Iowa Hawkeye benches were fully customized bearing official team colors and branding and included multiple 12-foot sports benches and one six-foot sports bench. With these new benches in the home dugout, players and coaches will enjoy a continuous, temperature-controlled sitting surface and heated outdoor space that’s designed to keep players and coaches warm even on the coldest days in Iowa City.
